About

Onairo is a device designed to help users experience lucid dreaming. This technique was first developed by Stephen LaBerge at the Dream Institute at Stanford University.

The Onairo device uses a technology known as an electrooculogram to detect electrical signals produced near the eyes when they move. When the device detects Rapid Eye Movement (REM) — which coincides with dreaming — it triggers a light to flash, alerting the user to the fact that they are dreaming.

The device and the electrode patches are designed from the ground up for maximum comfort, so they do not interfere with normal sleep. The device can also be configured through the Onairo App to customize settings tailored to the user's preferences for comfort and effectiveness.
